When you enter Pure, you have the choice of a whole team of qualified, experienced and creative stylists. Just as you have your own individual look and style, the team all have their own unique approach. You will be matched with the stylist that best suits you!
Andrew Fanning - Artistic Director
I feel it is so important to listen to each client individually to really get a feel of their lifestyle and work together to create a style that looks as good in six weeks as the day it was created.
Hairdressing is a constant evolution and a great creative outlet. I really enjoy working alongside our diverse team at Pure and love to combine the knowledge and experience of the senior stylist with that of the untamed enthusiasm of our up and coming stars.
Experience: 18 years hairdressing experience, plus teaching all levels of hairdressing, stage and demonstration work, such as being members of Artistic teams and working on NZ Fashion Week
Nationality: British
Favorite Styles and Products: Styles that are inspiring me at the moment are strong geometric shapes with raw internal texture, along with disconnection creating a clash of dramatic strength and playful movement.
Nothing is more important than beautiful healthy hair, and nothing creates this better than Joico’s K-Pak range. I love to work with the GHD styling tool, whether it’s soft Hollywood glamour or candy floss avande-garde texture – they are an must have tool for every stylist and client!
Krystal Rhian - Principal Stylist
My favourite aspect of hairdressing is colouring and colour reinvention, Textured styles are enhanced with colour accents. I find really listening to clients and giving them inspiration and what they want is really rewarding.
I gain inspiration from my peers, magazines and the fashion and music industry. I am always looking to constantly upskill whether at shows and tutorial days.
Experience: 7.5 years
Nationality: New Zealander
Favourite Styles and Products: At the moment I love sharp classic bobs with a modern twist, I enjoy taking classic shapes and reinventing them and working with curls and heavy textures. Styling long hair and creating up dos is one of my specialties.
My favourite products include Joico K-Pak for repair and ultimate condition, Sebastian Laminates for smooth and sleek styles and Fudge Head shine finishing for every style - weightless and gorgeous.
Melissa Loh - Stylist
I enjoy working with Colour, also the fashion aspect of hairdressing. This industry is fun and relaxed and I get great job satisfaction from clients leaving with a smile on their face.
My past experience as an interior designer compliments hairdressing, I am sensitive to colour placement, to shape and movement. For inspiration I am always looking for new fashion updates from overseas via magazines and the internet, plus taking part in up skilling training.
Experience: 3 years
Nationality: Malaysian
Favorite Styles and Products: Feminine short and funky styles inspire me at the moment, as do long layers choppy and sleek fashion up-do’s. I love working with Nioxin serum glossy and their thickening spray, plus Joico’s Colour shield range and K-Pak range. Muk’s Filthy is great for working with textured cuts.
Dione Kosmadakis - Principal Stylist
I love giving clients make-overs and having them leave the salon feeling really good about themselves. I enjoy competing in hairdressing competitions and working on a creative level, but also enjoy catering to a commercial clientele in salon giving a look that can be worn every day.
Experience: 13 years hairdressing. Completing in hairdressing competitions - earning 1 st place in the “Overall Wellington Senior Hairstylist” Category.
Nationality: New Zealander
Favorite Styles and Products: My favourite styles are long soft edges that are around at the moment, especially on mens styles. For women I’m really liking Rihanna’s short cut and Katie Holmes style. I love styles ranging from concave bobs to beautiful sleek long hair.
One of my specialties is creating fabulous Wedding hair. I enjoy working with the Joico product range. As for Colour, I like soft panels of colour coming through to bring out curls.
